Gives would be parents information about the Safe Haven Law, crisis intervention services, and referrals to teen pregnancy centers.

Hotline and Web Site will recommend treatment options and support available for Post Partum Depression. 

The Dorchester Community Resource Center can provide information on childcare, elder services, housing, healthcare, employment, family support services and other community resources. You can also get access to a computer with internet services for FREE, or a family support advocate who can help connect you to community resources. The Resource Center drop in hours are on TUESDAY or available by appointment. Food, temporary financial aid, rent assistance, immigration/naturalization, education, pregnancy counseling, job training, child care resource and referral, parenting/family support groups, outpatient mental health care, life problems counseling.

 Builds positive relationships between parents and their children by educating both families and the professionals who serve them through inspiring, hands-on workshops in multiple languages.

 Offers family support and education programs in Boston neighborhoods; a network of family support in Dorchester, Allston-Brighton and Roslindale; and training and technical assistance to communities and organizations interested in offering Nurturing Parenting Programs, Welcome Baby home visits and/or Parent-Child playgroups in their community.

 The Family Van offers a range of health promotion, education and screening services from their mobile van.

Free home visits conducted by public health nurses and advocates, who provide health education and case management services for expectant women and parenting families with children up to three years of age living in Boston.

 Free Home visiting program for first time parents with children up to three years of age who are under the age of 21 years at the time of the referral.

Massachusetts Parent Information and Resource Center (Parents’ PLACE) is a program of the Federation of Children with Special Needs, which helps parents learn about the rights of and options available to their children in education.

Smart from the Start is a community engagement and family support initiative of the City of Boston. It promotes school readiness by providing early learning opportunities and family support for families with children, ages 0 to 5, living in or around Boston Housing Developments in Roslindale, Mattapan, and Charlestown.
